As one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the Grand Canyon shows impressive displays of erosion and mother earth's natural beauty.

The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is located 220 miles from the Grand Canyon South Rim. Unfortunately, only 10 percent of the 5 million yearly visitors travel to the Grand Canyon north side. The Grand Canyon North Rim truly is spectacular. The Grand Canyon North Rim is open from May through October.

The Grand Canyon ranges in elevation from 2,400 feet to over 7,000 feet above sea level. Many attractions are located within Grand Canyon. The beauty of the Grand Canyon is enjoyable for all who visit.



The Grand Canyon North Rim has been inhabited by Desert Archaic people, the Anasazi, and the Paiute all before Europeans came in 1540. The Paiute gave the plateaus of the Grand Canyon North Rim their names.

 

The Grand Canyon North Rim is filled with interesting rock formations and Colorado River. The Grand Canyon North Rim features six hiking trails. They range from easy half-mile trail to a two or three-day trip to the Grand Canyon 's bottom. Mount Hayden and Saddle Mountain are viewable standing on the highest point in Grand Canyon National Park, Point Imperial. You can see stunning vistas of the Grand Canyon
